At Counsel Culture Canada, we believe that therapy is a collaborative process and every person deserves to receive the best counselling that caters to their unique situation and schedule. Current clients can email about limited – same day – Friday or Sunday appointments that are not for crisis work.
At Counsel Culture, we firmly believe that the client is the expert in their own narrative. We believe that everyone deserves only the best person centered therapy, and that counselling can be for anyone. Counselling might take a different approach, it might mean a different modality for some people, it might be a short visit or it might be multiple sessions over a life time, but counselling can be for everyone.
We are here to start normalizing going to counselling just as we normalize seeing our family doctors for our annual physical checkups. We are here to normalize talking and identifying our emotions. We are here to normalize saying that not everything is “going to be fine,” we need to normalize not trying to be resilient at all times, we need to rid ourselves of those “positive vibes only” mentality.
We are here to help you, support you, and advocate for you. We aim to help you identify your goals, your emotions, your strengths and your tools for managing your mental health. Counsel Culture is here for you.
In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge that we live, work and play on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.
I respectfully acknowledge that I am honoured to work remotely for individuals who live on the unceded traditional territory of the T’Sou-ke first Nation. Born and raised on Coast Salish territories it is a privilege to work for the individuals of this island.
